A moderate point-to-point trail run across the mountains west of Tokyo, starting from Ome Station and finishing at Mitake Station.

We’ll climb out of Ome onto the Ome Kyuryo ridge and spend most of the day on forested singletrack, passing peaks including Raidenyama, Takamizu-san, Iwatakeishiyama and Sogakuyama before the final descent to Mitake.

This is a great route for runners looking to step up from our shorter trail runs: a bit longer, more sustained, and with plenty of runnable ridge terrain mixed with steady climbing.

Because this is a one-way route, we’ll carry everything with us from start to finish. There is no onsen planned at the end, so bring a change of clothes in your running pack if you’d like to change before taking the train home.

Meet: Ome Station (青梅駅) at 09:35
Finish: Mitake Station (御嶽駅)
Distance: 16.6 km
Elevation: 1094m up

Getting there: Take the JR Chuo Line from central Tokyo toward Tachikawa, then continue on the JR Ome Line to Ome Station. The run finishes at Mitake Station on the same JR Ome Line, making it easy to return toward Tokyo afterwards.

Signing up is a commitment: If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible — it helps us plan group sizes on the day. No-shows without notice make it harder for everyone.
